Villa Calcina is located at roughly 50 metres from another of
our Tuscan rental properties, Il Fienilino. The
villa is divided into two separate apartments; the ground floor is home to
Signora Paola and her family, with the upper floor given over completely to the
rental apartment (4 bedrooms). They have separate entrances, and the villa is
surrounded by a large garden that is very meticulously kept. There is a private
gazebo in the garden for the use of guests, equipped with tables and chairs for
al fresco eating and relaxing.
The apartment at the first floor is designed and furnished in the same elegant
style as the existing Fienilino Villa. The owner has personally directed the
restoration of the house and her impeccable taste in colour and fabrics is seen
throughout. Use of soft "Siena yellow" or orange, green and red adds to the
luminosity of the first floor furnishings, and stands out from the wood beamed
ceilings, brickwork, and wood and cotto floors.
Signora Paola and her family are always available for advice and assistance.
Guests have use of a swimming pool (6 by 12 metres, 1.2 to 1.9 metres deep) that
is hidden in the grounds of the villa. This pool is just 30 metres away, and is
shared with guests of
Il Fienilino.
