Set in an excellent location,
surrounded by lemon groves and olive trees, built on top
of a marvellous cliff, facing an endless view of the
Mediterranean. Villa Santa Croce is situated only 1,5
Kms far from Amalfi centre and about 10 from famous
Positano, just above one of the most beautiful rocky
beaches of the coast.
Taking the most picturesque part of the “Amalfi Drive”
leading from Amalfi to Positano, you find villa Santa
Croce gate on the sea-side of the road.
The name of the villa derives from the small beach
situated at the bottom of the picturesque long staircase
attached to the villas terraces. This beach is used by
local people and has also a good fish restaurant.
Entering the gate you find the parking area suitable
either for 2 large cars or 3 small vehicles. On the left
the villa entrance. On the top floor you find the master
bedroom, very large, with hand painted majolica tiles,
TV, safe, balcony with sea-view and en-suite bathroom
with shower. The staircase leads to the main level where
you find the living area and the rest of the bed-rooms.
At the bottom of the steps you find the living room that
offers a nice sitting area with comfortable sofas, TV
and CD player; the dining area has large table for
twelve people and a fire place. On the right hand side
you find two bedrooms, both with double bed, TV, safe,
hand painted majolica tiles, one with front sea-view and
the second with a side sea-view. next to the bedrooms
you find a bathroom with shower. On the other side of
the living area you find the forth bedroom with sea-view
and another bathroom.
On the same level you find a well equipped kitchen with
door opening onto a side terrace equipped with barbecue
and a large round table for 12 people.
Only a few meters from the main building, beyond the
side terrace you find the dependence with two more
bedrooms, both with double bed and en suite bathrooms.
they both have a balcony and a distant sea-view.
the main villa can accomodate 8 people and the
dependence 4. All rooms are equipped with: TV, safe,
air-conditioning. Walking down the steps you reach
another level where you find another open-air dining
area with a beautiful terrace covered by a traditional
pergola. The villa’s terraces slope down toward the sea
and to the swimming-pool level. The pool terrace is well
equipped with sun-beds, deck-chairs and parasols and
surrounded by local trees. From this level, you have
access to the public steps leading to the beach.
Your dilemmas will be: “a glass of wine on the terrace
or in Amalfi square?”; “a fresh fish under the pergola
or in Positano?”; “breakfast in the garden or Ravello
piazza”
The choice is yours.
